Narrow boats owners begin to look forward to the spring

The days are lenthening and those of you who own narrowboats will be beginning to look forward to the spring and being able to use your boats without worrying about keeping warm. 

The Buckby Flight of locks just outside our marina have now re-opened after being closed for repair work.  It makes it much easier for us now that it's re-opened as we had several boats waiting at the 'top lock' to come in for sale. 

Even though its only February we have been keeping ourselves busy selling narrowboats.  We often get asked what is the best time of year to sell a narrowboat and the answer is anytime, although the Spring is ideal as it's when we are busiest.  So if you have a narrowboat that you are looking to sell please get in touch.  We'd be more than happy to come and view your boat and discuss the best way forward to help you sell it, just fill out our online sales enquiry form and we will ring you to arrange a free market appraisal.

A super boat has just come in on brokerage, it's called 'Hermia' and anyone who knows Shakespeare will know that Hermia is a fictional character from Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dreams who was caught in a romantic accident where she loves one man, Lysander, but is loved by Demetrius, whose feelings she does not return.  Anyway I digress, Hermia (the narrowboat) is a 61ft semi traditional style boat built by G J Reeves in 2002 and is a very tidy and well cared for boat that I'm sure will sell very quickly, it can be viewed at Whilton Marina.
