Well the ice eased off enough after Christmas for my wife and I to cruise down to The Wharf at Bugbrook, it took two and a half hours from Whilton Marina, the ice had broken but there were still some very large sheets. Although it was cold outside, we were nice and warm with the wood burning stove lit. Good trip back with friends, stopping off at the Narrowboat pub at Weedon for a winter warmer, then back to Whilton Marina just before nightfall. A welcome change from watching TV. The forecast is for very cold weather throughout January so it may be some time before we go out again. Post again soon. Toni.
