My wife and I together with friends on two other narrowboats had a great cruise from Whilton Marina to Limehouse on the Grand union, Paddington arm, Regents canal and almost on to the Thames. If you have not cruised that way yet I can recommend it, particularly south of Milton Keynes, Tring, Berkhamstead, Leighton Buzzard and especially Cassiobury are quite beautiful. A visit to Camden market is a must it is open all week but there are more stalls at the week-end. We also went to Portabello market, again well worth the effort. We left Whilton marina on Friday at about 2pm and were moored just above Little Venice by Thursday afternoon and after cruising to Limehouse and back, we left Little Venice on Sunday at about 7am and took a rather more leisurely cruise back up arriving at the Wharf in Bugbrooke on Friday where we stayed overnight with more friends, this was followed by a slow trip back to Whilton arriving at 5pm on Sunday. Now planning the next trip!
