Yesterday a ‘funny’ narrow boat arrived;
It’s painted with pictures of Laurel and Hardy and Charlie Chaplin on the side!
It’s called Wykeham and has come into the marina on brokerage.
Well this got me thinking about writing a silly funny poem for the blog. So with some help from ‘Jolly’ Tony, this is what we came up with.

This is perfect boating weather,
So if your dream has always been
To own your own narrow boat,
Come to us and get afloat.

One boat is called Brenda
Another it is Lush
There’s Charlotte, Alexandra, Olive Rose,
Bodger and Bongaloo,
To mention but a few;

So if you want The Bug,
Or The King of Clubs,
Fly like Pegasus,
And see your boat rise like Phoenix
