"I have visited Whilton Marina over many years to view boats for sale and have just sold one of my boats through them.What i like about Whilton is that you can look at as many boats as you like hassle free from sales pitches. Often i have dashed down to look at a particular Narrow Boat but spotted another which i had paid a little heed to on the web-site and they are always happy to let you look at as many as you wish and to come down and chat to you about them if required. There is always a good selection of low/mid priced boats to view - Staff are friendly ,warm. With regards to sales, I had asked a number (many) of the boaters i know on the Ashby Canal about how they got on both purchasing and selling their boats via Whilton and all were pleased and so i took my boat there after a viewing by them for a price guide at my home mooring. I was also pleased that although i took the boat myself, I have health issues and they said they would be happy to collect on route if i couldn't manage it and at a very very good cost quote. My boat sold in about 4-5 weeks (Good for all port hole boat which aren't so popular as windows) and payment to me was within a couple of days of the couple making the final payment. on the whole always been very pleased with their service. Re Sale of Narrowboat Rambler

I write to say how impressed I have been in my dealings with Whilton Marina in the sale of my narrowboat Rambler.  From first being helped by Andy at the Crick Show, to your valuation at Rose, Peter looking after me when I dropped off my car, Matt taking me to Rose & Adrian keeping me in touch with progress.

I was particularly impressed with your use of social media and extensive use of the internet, and found the vendors login very useful.  The photos and brochure showed the boat off very well and I'm sure were key to its quick sale.  You all worked hard and as a result Rambler was sold in four days.

I must write to say thank you Andy (boat sales) and the staff at Whilton Marina on the professional way they handled the advertising and the final sale of our narrowboat. The boat was taken to Whilton for me by a professional in Novemember and I was a bit apprehensive at first regarding winterising the boat and if costs would be incurred while it sat awaiting sale. I need nothave worried my boat was drained for the winter and the sale has now been completed five months later with no problems at all.

'Hello

My son, Richard Kruller, has brought a boat from you - Steadfast - and yesterday we came to give it a clean, fill it with diesel and add a few basics.

Every one of the people we came into contact with at the marina greeted us with a smile, were pleasant and helpful.  It made a huge difference to the day.

But one person above all shone out: Keith from the workshop. We apologise for taking so much of his day, but we were extremely greatfull for his sensible advice and practical help - all delivered cheerfully.  He made a massive difference, and I think his advice will continue to make a difference in the years ahead.

Steadfast is not a prestigious boat (though we're pleased with her), but it's very good to see that, no matter how much or little is spent on the boat, your after sales service is excellent.

"I brought my 10 year old 58ft Narrow Boat up to Whilton Marina for brokerage in April 2012 after their representative had visiited me where my boat was moored ( 60 miles away ) to value my boat.  I contacted Whilton Marina since I had heard two good reports from other people as to the service they had received. One report from a couple who had sold a very old narrowboat through Whilton Marina and another from a person who bought a live-aboard narrow boat through them.

Whilton Marina priced my boat realistically within one thousand pounds of what I believed the boat was worth. My boat was moored free of charge whilst at Whilton Marina. To my surprise I was offered the full asking price for my narrowboat within a month.  I prepare the boat into first class condition and provided a complete set of operating instructions and included other useful information about the boat, which might have contributed to this excellent offer.

During the time (a couple of weeks altogether, with the boat being taken out of the water for a survey to be conducted) my boat was on offer I was kept fully in touch with all that was going on and on actual sale the funds where immediately transfered to my bank account.  As a result of Whilton Marinas excellent service I offered to write them this Testimonial since the service I received was exemplary."
